When there are two things at once, it can be overwhelming, especially when others consider one to be primary. However, the person experiencing it thinks it all happening at the same.
People are whole beings and unable to be separated, compartmentalized, and/or divided in two.

The challenges with addressing co-occurring disorders are due to behavioral health professionals who fray away with being dually trained and licensed. There seems to be a professional preference, BUT individuals’ lives are not preferred with having two things at once.
It’s important to address pertinent issues that address individuals, families, neighborhoods, communities, and society since those most impacted are marginalized, under-resourced, and impoverished.
